[UltraVid id=160 ]Seth this guy’s toast so with the new Knights of the Frozen Throne expansion coming right around the corner Blizzard has gone ahead and dropped a big update in preparation for it and with it came quite a few significant changes to existing gameplay interactions there are quite a few cards that work a bit differently from how they used to and this video is to simply keep you guys informed of these changes so you’re not caught by surprise number one we have no more infinity with all can I show priests in the past if you had an off night show priests on board and give yourself with either mistress of pain or with the flame bumble bristle you will be caught in an infinite damage loop and die this is no longer the case okay so in the past whenever you had optimized so priests on the board and you attack with your mistress of pain what happens is it calls like a feedback loop and instantly kill you since then Blizzard has changed this interaction so it no longer happens you just take the one damage and the dents there so no more killing yourself if you have a keen eye on the board plus the live schedule manually with the introduction of a whole bunch of life new minions in the Frozen Throne the possibility for this to happen would have dramatically increased which is why Blizzard had to disable this interaction which I agree with because it would cause a lot of confusion for new players who are wondering why they suddenly just died for no reason this change was noted in the patch notes number two we have you can’t attack again after switching heroes in the past if you transformed into another hero like jaraxxus of Ragnaros you were able to attack them with a weapon even if you already attack that turn as another hero this is no longer the case but what the latest patch that’s no longer possible because of the new death knight bureaus right head learning transform this change was again in the patch notes third we have poisonous now works with death rattle so in the past if you gave a explosive sheep the poisonous affect the death rattle would do the damage and do nothing else the new hearthstone patch poisonous will now work with death rattle even if the minion dies so if we give sergeant Sally whose death rattle says deal damage equal to this minions attack all enemy minions and we give her poisonous and we trade their end the death rattle would you damage to all minions and apply two poisonous effect now oh well actually what and this doesn’t just work with minions either and now we’re going to test if poisonous works with death-rattle weapons so we a plot and venom weapon to our deaths bite and we see is the one damage early actually ends up killing everything this is a pretty cool change and it might make new cards I talked to Garrow and plague scientists a little bit more interesting however this change was not in the patch note number four we have Hilal vo and Callum elves no longer working together so in the past if you dealt damage with Kali Moses battle cry while you had a lousy on board you would get healed for the damage dealt even though halal vo is supposed to work with spells only so it has fixed this so this doesn’t happen anymore and this was a pretty straightforward bug fix but again not noted in the patch notes either do not work which i think is the right interaction as you can see and no longer use you as it was intended but again nowhere to be found in the patch notes finally we have the big one Fandral stat helms new interactions sandro no longer combines to choose one effects into a brand new effect now he applied the two effects separately which allow you to do things that you couldn’t do before like killing an argent squire with a divine shield elves are separated into two separate portions then something like a divine shield minion can be killed with new Fandral wrath then not to mention the fact that Sandra will now get double the spell power bonus instead of doing five damage with wrath and will now do overall six damage it also means triggering certain minions ability twice such as acolyte of pain frothing berserker bitter tide Hydra and much more alright the first one is yes and the second one is from the wrath draw and then the third one is from the act like taking damage well it’s dead so we get three draws due to the new changes to fan drill overall I like this change a lot to make things easier to understand and it’s more consistent so during my testing I had to reach out to ben brode the hearthstone game director to ask him if this new interaction was intended which he confirmed but I should have to ask Ben each time an interaction was changed Ben shouldn’t have to take time from a schedule to answer these questions a change like that should have been documented in the patch notes in the first place more than half the interactions changing this update was missing from the patch notes and I talked about this in my patch notes video but I just want to say it again in order for everyone to know what is a bug and what is intended lizard needs to communicate to us what they changed so we know what’s report if we find something [UltraVid id=155 ]hey guys how’s it going cranium so I thought a lot about what I want to do for you guys in terms of summarizing what the good cards are in the upcoming Knights of the Frozen Throne expansion and I think that rather than re reviewing all of them now that we have more information from seeing all the cards and knowing how kind of the class archetype will work out like what classes have more options for powerful combos or powerful decks and all that what kind of cars is really high power level that we have to acknowledge will likely be in a lot of decks and you know we can get a slightly better picture but I thought instead I just give you a list top ten most powerful cards the most relevant meta cards I believe we will see from the upcoming expansion now I have a little bit of an asterisk so I think some of these cards might take a little bit to see play it might even be in the you know expansion after this I think some of the cards that were implemented in this expansion are very powerful aggro cards but there are a lot of control cards so one would think that was or just kind of figure out a way for control to take over with just enough healing taunt measures and all that so you know maybe Agra will be a thing but it doesn’t mean the Agra cards we got in this expansion aren’t ridiculous so let’s kick it off here number 10 on my list is actually the Lich King so some people think this is just the best card in the set and you know it could be but you have to keep in mind that this card is really only going to see play in a slow deck so if you’re playing a mid-range deck often enough you’re going to have at least one or two big cards you’re going to pick over it now with the launch of hero cards there are just heavier cards in this one and most mid-range decks rely on the very few but extremely powerful late-game cards so basically King might be an auto including every single control deck but we have seen some of the easiest control cards we’ve ever seen hearthstone history in the upcoming expansion so while I think the Lich King is way above the power level of previous late-game cards in general it is actually competing with a lot of spots at least for non control decks and yeah you are going to see it quite a bit in control decks that’s why it’s 10th on the list a very powerful card we have corpse taker so this card just looks really good and if you really think about it it just is really good like if you’re playing paladin and you got a the burned bristle whatever his name is wicker flame this is going to be a 4 mana divine shield taunt lifesteal just if you have one of those in your deck that’s just ridiculous I don’t know if you guys have tried it but if you just play divine shield taunt minions in your deck it actually does a really good job stopping most aggro it’s just there’s usually slightly better ways to do it but this is a much better way to do it and it’s in that same Department so I think we are going to see a lot of corpse takers especially in the mid range and control decks maybe even in the aggregate decks honestly then I have skalamander I think I have praised this card more than anyone else people seem to doubt its power I don’t doubt its power I think this is the single biggest board cleared deny card we have ever seen and I think it’s stata dwell enough that we’ll see play so I think if you’re running unaggressive – on aggro like an aggressive maybe a zoo deck and you’re up against the control deck usually turn 5 6 7 is when board clears start dropping on your board and you know you start losing and you need chargers and burst and all that kind of crap well if you have a pretty good board and on turn 5 you play this your opponent I would say it’s a mage he cannot Blizzard you because he’s probably just going to die it does really well against doomsayer I think we’re going to see a decent number of doom there’s even though yeah priest has a number of counters for this potion of madness doesn’t really punish it that hard I mean yeah it punishes pretty hard but not as bad as you think because the priest doesn’t get your 8/8 may just be able to five drops again pretty strong but still the main weakness is the priest and it’s not like you’re going to lose the game if it gets potion amends much like other cards with similar effects from the past if you can have any kind of taunt activator if you’re using like the bone mayor if you’re using a spiked Ridge steed like imagine you speed this play this your parents just going to leave it play speed on it for eight taunt and when it dies you get an eight eight and two six thought to protect the eight eight like it’s just absolutely crazy crazy amount of stats for the mana and that’s why I think it will see some play the main answer for this is silence removal but from what I have seen it seems like silence removal is the main counter to priests so there’s a lot of sounds removal going on you know maybe it’s actually still okay to play this because you’re not going to run up against that many priests which are going to have slightly more efficient counters against you then I have the shaman hero card for all deaths here it may not look like you know the craziest card ever but it’s a five cost hero card with a really powerful effect so if you play a four drop and your four drop attacks something let’s see if I can injured four drop you play this it upgrades it to a six drop on turn five and then your hero power just pushes the board constantly it gives you armor which lets you use weapons more in the mid-range deck without having to run healing it’s just a really really high power card and I think it fits into possibly even fairly aggressive shaman decks certainly in mid-range certainly in control it’s just I mean this card the only way this card density play is if shaman says no play and I have to think that won’t happen then we have a despicable dread lord cost four five demon the one damage to all enemy minions at the end of turn I think this card I think people people saw this or like yeah that’s a good card and then just moved along I think it’s worth taking a second look I think this card is a lot stronger than the first look would suggest it denies so many plays from your opponent you know the the end of turn effect happening again and again and again is just it’s just ridiculous against fast decks and it’s a pretty strong mid-range card it carries its own so demon which works with the the new warlock hero and a few other options as well it’s just it’s just ridiculous then we have dead man’s hand in number five so I’ve been a backer this card for a while I know a lot of people haven’t shown it much support but it I think it is the single card that enables control warrior once again and I’m I’m Toland firm on that I think even even like the the warrior hero card I only has a good control warrior card but we’re going to have at least a few control decks working out and control order being able to go incident and keep in mind J druid has a counter now so you know seems like this might be the absolute top dog of control it’s possible and I think that demands some recognition now we have the new one drop on cop21 and it gives a friendly minion +1 attack permanently it’s kind of like what abusive sergeant kind of was in the past and yeah Jesus art is a ridiculous card so this is a ridiculous card and you know there’s some chance a growing zoo might be completely dead in the upcoming expansion I highly doubt that but whenever an aggressive or zoo deck pops up in the meta once again I have a strong feeling this is going to be part of those lists number three is the Warlock hero card I think this covers what control warlock decks were missing all of this time it the hero power that you get deals three and heals you for three so much single target removal so much constant healing exactly what control warlocks were missing they had the big board clears they had the efficient giant plays and all that this is the only thing they were missing and they got it so I have a really strong feeling that warlock is going to do very well and I think this card is going to take them pretty far number two is defile one damage to all minions and if any die cast is again so I thought this card was pretty good I mean it’s obviously pretty good but when we saw in a few of the demos considering some of the cards that people are playing even control decks are playing a lot of cards that just you know that they have to die like two or three times to follow just ridiculous at removing them and it’s it’s better I feel than most other removal options and even warlocks previously had so that’s saying a lot warlocks had amazing early to mid-game board clears and this is better than the past so think control warlock is going to be a thing but we’ll see number one you’re ready for it it’s a one drop yep righteous protector this car is just obviously bonkers I talked about it I think it’s the car that annoyed me the most because it’s clearly a card that’s way above its power level in the one drop slot so I think this card is going to supply in every single aggro pally as long as it’s in standard it’s going to see play and every single mid-range power lead every single buff pally in every single control palette even it’s possible right like it’s so insane even if you’re playing like a combo oriented paladin deck dropping this and then using whatever to turn set up combo that you might need might actually get it to work for a one cost card that’s also insane against every other deck because you can play it on turn one it’s card it is crazy there’s there’s really not much to say about it overall this expansion while my list has 10 it really took me a long time to get down to that I think there are easily 25 extremely powerful cards certainly so I’m not on this list and I think more than any other expansion I’ve mentioned before there are an unbelievably high number of high potential cards cards that could be amazing could not be amazing and those cards I feel are what really make the game fun for me I get to test them out there’s so many things to test try experiment and try to push out some crazy decks out there more so than any other expansion we’ve seen before and that’s pretty exciting any other game might stay fresh for more than typical two to three week period maybe we might get more than a month out of this expansion and I can’t wait to try it out let me Hearthstone: Knights of the Frozen Throne Card Reveals!

as many cards we possibly can and six games in addition to ice out which you revealed a minute okay after some reflection about the time right now hotel so this is the first time we’re really playing live games of the new sense for people to see yeah I am really excited actually like we’ve kind of got kids a night for Christmas last night I couldn’t sleep I’m kind of like zombie ish myself right now you automatic I suppose for the explained yeah right exactly and i’m super hyped to actually get to play games with these new cards I had trouble sleeping after watching Game of Thrones last night no spoilers okay so we haven’t we have exciting things here oh yes so both things up we should kick things off with a cardio real I think so why don’t we just start actually we had this we had just print it out here and I wanted to show you first and then show the screen so here’s this new check it out here’s the news the start is very exciting of it I think you’ll like this I think you’ll like this one so uh that’s it we’re done product watch it just come and that’s what we’ve revealed yeah you’re there subscribe this is good we have real cars to the Caribbean it should be good alright that’s just a sense what’s the say stuff about Oh set just to remind you this is the set comes out Thursday yeah very exciting and we’re going to play for matches today and we’re gonna play against Steven Chang also known as puffing in case you are in the scene and Street hearthstone he also won a came in second place in our first ever first ona tournament eternally way back in the day okay all right Kamin sec he’s a cool guy he did play awesome guy and a good player so good luck cuz we’re playing against him so all right I’m right I’ve been told he’s gonna try really all ready explain my Mulligan strategy see right was that I’m gonna Mulligan every card I’ve seen before the death knight oh whatever like all right all right all right well let’s do it let’s get in there all right let’s see first match uh warrior verse shamans alright so I gotta wear permi it’s good that the friendslist are and he’s there we go fine John yeah yeah so boom we’re Brugler thanks alright yeah that’s the we’re gonna be war alright alright just some tips for this warrior deck this is a heavy whirlwind synergy deck okay so lots of whirlwind type effects the notes here from our crack deck builder team this deck is pretty straightforward Slayer dudes and damage that the cool effects what are we gonna do well I guess it decides I can hear you stuff I’ve seen all of these cards before so I’m gonna mulligan all of them okay well weapons there so that’s a key one thing that I saw with a lot of the the warrior cards in the side there is a lot of new sort of whirlwind tripes energy things and simply that the new deaths – weapon I forget the name exactly did took there’s a lot of things that you know you kind of take warrior in a different direction you’re like the agro pirate warrior not like division of control warrior more sort of synergy based with the world whatever effects and this is definitely one of them but uh this one we have seen before that one’s pretty good with the dad coin into a credit may what’s this whenever this minion takes damage gained +2 attack I do want to say I like that they’re not all gold cards this time you can actually tell a class there it is and I look the animations official Jana so alright alright we needed to clear this I would say so I think this is a key field on the other side because though that’s I now you please like could use made of energy does actually have anything is like a and it’s an armored animated ghost Controlman perfect cape of area firework that seen that before my Mulligan it why we’ll we’ll just go ahead and we’ll play a fiery war axe what are you saying well I would be alright so and this this uh shaman deck is part like a free shaman sort of Jeff yeah all right we’ll be right I do now adjourn it freeze your other minions a the four four four three I’ll try to read your other main writers so there’s a three is not bad yeah that’s like just good stat why I don’t know much but I know that that’s more than you would normally map checks out yeah Chad and also like this is usually not a figured this out but you can like not have other minions and it’s like basically no drawback we’re gonna kill this guy here I literally just said wall in then he said well let me just war alright well we’ll play mmm I’m going to draw a card does it makes me more likely to draw my death right if I can feature on your car that is that’s my strategy they’re really just goes yeah oh that’s not it that night you have to keep pointed negative but his strategy here mostly frost synergies that a few token buffing and evolved synergies as well a so it’s probably got Robbie actually seems pretty good and Rob it does yeah you obviously freeze your other minions and then just get a bunch of them yeah it’s kind of cool yeah cool and I didn’t [Laughter] hit it cool yes does one have any kind of like a grew by shivers ahead but said your freeze the minion until three damage to adjacent ones okay a little bitter stick goes on don’t kill the one that you target right yeah it’s kind of a code of cold that can kill like some of the other stuff it definitely freezes a big thing yeah interesting we just think this can drop me deaf nights true yeah alright I’m just going to this to mana not bad that’s not that I know if you thought if you shuffle your hand in your deck your beautifully mission Lex likely to draw a death knight I like this car by the way I think this guy is really cool if it’s your opponent’s turn Game six armor so if you’re playing and someone who is like trying to kill your stuff so you can’t attack their guys like well it helps you stay alive I think some interesting decision making there from yeah from both players don’t you know it would put them on minions in general to have higher attack the health so generally like bad trade like that for 443 normally but didn’t like the keep if you if you let your opponent make the attacking decisions that’s bad for you right so you set the growls you want it looking pretty good by the way know this yeah this kind this we’d seen before but that two sevens on freeze anything damage by new card wait what are fess this is the puppy this is the oh my god that’s right I’ll add a random death knight cut well this makes me more like you guys up right so this on a deadline here oh that’s a that’s a new together oh my god that’s credit that’s gotta be the best motivation of a expansion I’m sure all right well this is I’m just go say go so that’s like nothing that’s a new category of card the death knight guard yeah okay so there’s a guy there’s 8 different death knight cards you could get smile we’re going to get hopefully only haven’t seen before you come seen any of them look I guess I mean I’ve seen themselves on other videos I’ve personally seen them yet oh no it’s this oh it’s definite like a spell I’m just giving you a okay yeah I did my hero at the right all right all right interesting and they’re pretty powerful is the configurator yeah and that’s that is pretty strong great for Solomon now we both can have one got a chip mm let’s this discard all weapons from your hand and gain their stats what so like if you have our can i Reaper in your hand we have two of its own and you gain it gets left to attack and plus for health because they’re for durability so you just take the numbers and it’s okay you just eat your weapon feed your weapons good and not have any why do this and they just both disengage because of the choke yeah yeah alright well if this is actually killer you know that’s actually exactly pretty horrible all right well I’m gonna I’m gonna play this guy yes you are to try and draw move to back away I could go wait now I’m gonna hang out we’re gonna do would I like it frozen by this guy oh yeah right show man that’s a surprising development yeah new card are you I’m basically at all I love that when that happens just shade is the whole game yeah I go a so different now what’s one of my things when you release new cards and expansions even if they’re not cards that people actively put into their constructive X yeah they can influence the outcome of Gator right like Cho is a card that people don’t generally put into their deck you know but here Joe is having a you know theoretically massive impact on the other scams gonna play out yeah you got some spells I do just don’t give a dead man’s hands yeah he look half dead without it so bad get so many cars okay yeah presently history other benevolent yeah now I have on a Jew and now my gold cuz a chalice goal that’s coordination actually I see oh I still haven’t dried that Lulu okay well I have done nothing with this weapon and I was sure another weapon yes I could eat it though I want to see his animation I just gotta eat it he’s not kind of close you wanna play the one man okay yeah he’ll just die he will just die like it I can combo that was why you’re the good player and I’m just I mean my strategies like I said this game is just to try and find you know I don’t know if it totally fair to say anything about being a good player but there always is pretty good he is really creepy looking yeah there’s my balls in places there shouldn’t be rival yet that’s not okay yeah I named Asteria is eyeballs in the places where there should be eyeball fee I can’t really tell I know I don’t even see eyes he just has like a sort of person should be socket ish looking thing it’s pretty horrifying well he’s almost deadly so you’re left I literally had any swung a weapon but I’m really beating him down oh I already got here woo I’ve seen this but wherever it’s arrived damage summon a tutu ghoul I have combos you do have combos look at this look at this though though though [Music] Macaulay’s combo didn’t even have to give you chill so I think I’m good about it yeah you do with your weapon or you I think I think I’m finally gonna actually kill this time all right you’re back in the game yeah I mean I’m still just trying to find I definitely so well you have a 1 in 14 chance of the additional charge Maddow now I’d remove this one this is still there I can kill this first and then they may be done what what at the end of your turn at a random death knight card so every turn yeah use of an 8 8 taught for 8 you know and just keep getting these totally busted cards every turn it’s totally busted yeah huh hey don’t think I’ve dealt damage to it I think that he’s pretty difficult all my stuff constantly hopefully goes the attacks your drama face ice again another death knight card here he just said a poor puppy enforce Timaeus right there yeah two different girls who’s just definitely care right I think this is going very well for me this year dead scale night a 1-1 lifesteal firlock ooh oh there is my whole strategy has come to this moment what is this quit a 4-3 shadow warn that also damages adjacent minions hero power is deal one damage to all minions pretty good okay that was cool doesn’t world and I believe you kneel before me I get some bug’s around here whatever you do will okay throughout man hold it all right like a rascal I’ll cry some a slice I’ve death metal someone for your opponent okay so you just basically a four minute seven seven but this won’t identify this is more important antenna so that’s right that’s right checks out very well I said now you could rock this into your hero power alright and start doing stuff did he say daddy make toys out of you that’s weird I got a muscle oh boy I always present nothing I know that’s wrong yesterday that’s wrong yeah alright alright you can get a 5/5 did you kill his rambling rascal and you’re probably I think I can do that you have a lot of girl power it’s a total that’s messing up your bladestorm there it is yeah just this with this up and go on oh you’re right that is but now I don’t really know whether guard blue new card leave your weapons opinion it deals its damage that what do meringue okay that’s cool so this like allows you to use you know sort of weapons to remove things not taking damage back yep basically and then even reset a weapon you are using the durability that’s right with this you can use your shadow blade kill something then replay the shadow blade that’s my own again that’s right that’s really cool yeah I definitely get to that also it’s called do meringue yeah and that’s just cool but this is weird things usually it’s like okay get spend three minutes on a weapon it’s like well but so much of the value of this weapon is this battle cry oh but I can do meringue it now I’m just going to play it I want to get doubled up there we go should we uh try and play let’s see what this glow soon it was an explosive trap yeah alright that’s good we’re clear now they can throw our weapon also you can play the room for counter and just keep it down yeah that’s true that is true yeah this is a cool card to you know actually because naturally you’re going to have weapons with your hero power but giving you more value from things like your shadow blade or other you know Road weapons that you actually put into that because historically because the hero power froze things so good you haven’t necessarily played that many have a every weapon mmm okay so this is kind of interesting but I can microwave yeah you could to bring it in a little bit of that again right uh and I don’t know about you but like just leaving experiencing Umbra on the board seems like that is we’re going to do meringue yeah and then it didn’t smack it again alright that’s cool like there sure Oh incredible yeah thanks tell me how good that is that was pretty cool and in particular with weapons like such a beautiful area who is everyone watch I can’t kill him right now that’s bad news everyone Lich King that is a serious card it is that is it’s an eight eight time for eight so you know poor iron bar protector like what if you share a cost one left had taught and give you super ridiculous cards every no here’s all of the Alden ethnic art so I think we actually did see all of them those are all yeah so yeah I mean really kind of crazy very of the dead and just being able to we saw that in one of the early games yeah with puppet is able to very efficiently get himself a fatigue with pretty much back card alone yeah especially something they haven’t I totally thought Mort is super cool and it’s keep killing things and raising them is undead for yourself yeah and that’s interesting because these are all first well a weapon in a bunch of spells but they like do a really wide variety of different things yeah yeah you can’t really count on one specific thing happening here right like every magic show versus doom packed obviously a very different when you compare to you Sarah forget Sarah a lot of that the results are you know pretty pretty similar with a couple of minions a couple spells that do relatively similar things but this just there’s so many crazy things can happen from which get yeah this guy we did briefly before um say that is an idea great yeah that your power definitely seems kind of crazy it’s both sort of bored control and sustain keeping your life up obviously more like as tons of ways to use their life as a resource and you know not only getting the armor from this getting a huge board from it but also just like be able to either to kill your opponent a play at their board is super strong yeah but if an hour matters yeah actually doesn’t think yeah scurry slurred Garrosh with the bladestorm I think I feel like this is good wait they’re here like your phone’s never gonna play minions ever just a bother dead anyway so we’re back okay that was that again all right well you know there’s a couple last-minute just reminders for folks who maybe this is the first time you’re hearing about like this wasn’t really it goes where you wouldn’t even do with your life there I’m so excited the this is this has been one of the most fun sets to work on because the theme the vibe is one of the most iconic is beloved themes from Warcraft history yeah and there’s so much just really cool things like the death Knights give every single class some really interesting long game sort of build around type card that can really change up how you look at death all right so I’m super dead you’re free won a free let’s do the time hero for being a prologue in the prologue in the first three missions come out the data expansion launches the next week three more missions come out and then we get that the last fight against blitz can comes out and he’s not easy oh you were saying that that’s one mission but it’s kind of such a different 29 mission yet yeah because every class has a different completely different experience playing against the Lich King and some some of them are quite rude alright but we had fun thinking of ways to troll players in that in that site but if you have you you beat the prologue which is not easy because the prologue is also against the Lich King oh really so you punch King at the very beginning and then go back to finally here you’re actually kinda later probably lose to list it but if you can beat the first mission the prologue will give you a free legendary death knight hero so basically anyone can just for free get one of the coolest cars in the sense yes uh yes you can beat it I think you did indeed I think you gonna do but but he’s definitely yeah quite rude these are this King and you get the free legendary death knight hero also this is the first time that we’ve wants to sit with our new pack rolls so you’re guaranteed to legendary cards your first 10 packs with sets hopefully you’ve been earning those thanks to the Frozen Throne packs through my girls will be running and dominating the arena with that and just say there’s a big number in the corner of the screen I want to open those but I can’t soon you go get a duplicate legendary to that one soon TM it’s [UltraVid id=153 ]hey guys how’s it going crane here bringing you guys another card review from the upcoming nights of the Frozen Throne expansion now I’m just going to go where I left off if you want to see my other reviews for the cards preceding these ones you just go back in order and the cards are going to be in the order that they were revealed in this last I don’t know four day period or something there’s been a lot of cards and kind of a contrast to what we’ve seen the last few weeks of releases it reveals I suppose these cards are actually somewhat good at least a decent number of them we’re starting to see some extremely powerful deck and meta defining cards and some of them are really exciting you know when the expansion was first revealed the hype level was relatively high because it’s you know Lich King stuff and then we saw the cards and we saw the second batch of cards and then was actually pretty low but once we started seeing these cards in the last few days things have been on the up and I am actually pretty excited to try some of these kick it off we got animated berserker 1 mana 1/3 that’s like oh no no more of these it’s for warrior o pirate over here but then after you play me and deal 1 damage to it is like wow that’s really crap in like just you know a curved deck you have to have massive synergy for a card like this to be good in an early game deck otherwise you’re using this for extreme combo activators and more of like a mid-range warrior list I can’t really imagine what that would be like but the effect is powerful a lot of the time you’d see control warriors and mid-range warriors wasting cards like whirlwind just to do one damage to the stuff that you’re playing now with this card you can basically do that as well and you have something on the board and it’s a threat to continue doing damage to your own minions which might not be a threat really but I think you can design that around that that would make sense that would actually have this card kind of like the key point of the deck kind of like Malc as our amp is to a discard warlock we have sanguine revealer another one drop warlock battle cry destroy friendly meaning gain plus two plus two so yeah it’s like a one-man of three three and some minions are pretty damn disposable but it’s not always the case that you can do that so it’s a bit of a clunky card it’s a pretty interesting though I think the best case for this card is you have like a divine shield or like death rattle II garbage minion in turn one you play this on turn two and a 3/3 on turn two plus maybe another one drop is actually a gigantic lead on the board I think it could help Zhu Locke certainly going to help warlock in arena a little bit not a lot but a little bit and maybe that’s good enough to see a bit more warlocks in that game mode and howling Commander 3 cos 2t a battle cry draw divine shield mending from your deck so this card is pretty powerful you get a card draw for three for a 2/2 that alone is fair I wouldn’t call that good but it’s fair all right people get all excited about you know drop it all man you play dis you get your tea really so what it’s going to have more divine shit and divine shield minions and tearing your deck you might not get Tyrion and even if you get Tyrion you definitely turn on the next turn you just had a crappy tempo play you can’t play this on turn 10 and then plate in because that’s a lot of mana this is like to cost zero one with that battle cry I think that would actually be stronger so it’s it’s interesting but you’re really going to have to make a like a deck full of divine shield minions full of shields everything for this to work and you basically are working off of the fact that you might be playing a deck with a lot of low drops a lot of divine shield minions and the fact that you’re sacrificing tempo to play this can kind of be made up almost immediately not just oh it’s Tyrion again but fairly strong card still venom strike trap when one of your minions is attacked some in a 2/3 poisonous Cobra it’s not that this is a pretty good secret a lot of people just lost their minds over this is nothing to lose your mind about it’s obviously a strong secret but when you’re playing a poisonous Cobra into a board that your opponent controls it’s often not going to be as good unless you’re running a lot of top minions you’re playing hunter running a lot of top minions I’m not so sure that’s going to work but who knows in the expansion new deck types and all this might actually be a much stronger card than they realize but I think it’s just – it snow flipper penguin yeah another one of these it’s a beast of Time shadow blade 3 cost 3 – lose the robe weapon and the battle cry gives your hero immunity for the turn so if you think about it on turn 3 may be responding to your opponent’s turn 3 you’re kind of like saving 3 damage attack into something be like for damage off the immunity effect there’s kind of like a mini truesilver it’s a little bit less of that because the truesilver sometimes you you can attack your opponent’s face and that to heal actually saves you from dying to burn damage so it’s a little bit worse than than true silver it comes out earlier in the class 4 has quite heavy weapon competition so it’s pretty tricky um could be good but mmm I have my doubts defile this is one of those really exciting cards you’ll one damage all minions if any die cast this again look at that so this card is obviously complete trash if your opponent is playing mid-range minions and upwards but it’s just it’s disgusting versus aggro decks like if you just think about most agra decks or most zoo decks or most like early game to mid game decks and they have like curve play style so they’re usually playing like a 1 or 2 health minion turn 1 2 or 3 health minion on turn 2 3 or 4 health mean I’m turn 4 this is like kill that one kill the next one kill the one after that kill one after that like wow it’s really good like Saul knows to get that first bump to deal to on the first draw card that another one card is ridiculous against those deck types obviously it has a lot to do with how many people actually playing agra decks but if the last like 3 years of kristen has taught us anything a lot of people are going to be playing at ago decks so there’s a really good card and it might be good enough to just the warlock on the map in many more States than just a control deck cryostasis talked about this card in want to yesterday’s videos how Freese works and all that it’s a lot better than it seems you can use this auto be played in the previous turn to attack with it so you kind of get like a form and a three-five with an ability card but it works off of your hero power so you have a dead turn it recovers you from a dead turn that’s some flexibility with freeze mechanics it can just be used as a freeze to stop your opponent from attacking the specific minion can be used with BGH so it’s it’s probably not like crazy good but it’s not bad and it definitely looks bad so you know be optimistic about this card to give it a try I think you’ll probably be impressed and yeah another freeze minion thing for shaman whenever another minion is frozen add a copy of it to your hand it’s six mana though and it’s 4/4 that’s huge huge drop in stats from what you expect for six mana six mana is a lot shaman has gigantic minions for the mana costs so this is not up against like boulderfist ogre this is up against some of the best minions in the game so oh man I don’t know we’ve seen some really crazy combo shamans in the past we’ve never seen them at Tier one so I mean this just feels as good as it might be as strong as it might be you feel like it’s not as consistent or strong as other purely combo oriented shaman decks and those have never been at the top of the ladder like ever except maybe for wild with like debt realm is lost but we’re talking about standard and rain and mostly and I don’t see it happening there it’s potentially a very fun card and it might it might create like a tier 2 deck who knows eternal servitude for cost discover a friendly minion a diverse game and some and oh my god this card is bonkers obviously you have to make a very specific deck you have to make sure you have very few minions and it always lands on a minion over for mana hopefully one way over for mana and the tempo lead ends up giving you the whole game extreme synergy with Barnes just crazy powerful effect but that whole deck is really weak against transform removal so again it’s going to be a meta defining deck hard to say that it’s going to be tier 1 because if you have everyone playing a deck works around this card then Shama I’m just going to run devolve in hexes and your decks going to be garbage so it creates a very powerful deck but that deck is very easy to counter and that’s really important to understand in arena though those counters are not always available and this card is probably going to be stronger in arena than constructed even though a lot of the time it’s going to pick up some pretty bad minions because you still have to curve out in arena it’s just that in arena if you can play like a five drop and maybe a six wrap and then read the five drop and a six drop with this card maybe even sneak in a hero power or something you know it that’s just that’s so hard to come back from if you’re playing against the priest so we’ll see doomed apprentice mage card three men at three to the opponent’s belt cost one more nothing crazy looking but I feel this effect is very powerful spells are generally fairly well balanced at their mana cost and your opponent will generally save very key spells for very key moments and you can predict that and screw that up I don’t know how strong that effect is overall because we haven’t really messed around of the effect that’s kind of like a marginal up in the cost of spells but I think this effect maybe not this card this effect is very powerful Princeville in our forecast for for battle cry if your deck has no four cost cards game life stone taught it’s it’s not that difficult to make a deck with another four drops we’ve seen like mid-range hunter kind of like aggressive shaman decks a few other things that just naturally don’t have four drops so for mana for a 4/4 lifesteal taunt and kind of like a curved minion based deck yeah that might not be not be too bad it’s it’s difficult to see this card carrying any deck but you know if you happen to open it in your packs don’t feel bad if you open the other princes you can feel bad but if you could open this one and you’re kind of like a free-to-play player you can probably drop this in a few decks and it’ll be pretty good dead man’s hand this is probably the most exciting card I’ve seen in the expansion so far so it’s a to cost warrior spell that does basically nothing in waste the card what it does though is allow control warrior to go infinite if you just have a control warrior deck and you’re like at zero cards you have a hand with like seven cards and you have two of these in your hand you play one of them and the other six cards go back in your deck but one of the other six cards is the other dead man’s hand and then you can even wait until you have ten cards and double up on some of those and then use one of the two dead men basically if you use this card while the other one is in your hand you will never run two cards in your deck unless somehow your deck goes missing and I guess it might be possible you’ll see in the same okay so that’s ridiculous the reason that’s ridiculous is because the control where your archetype has actually done pretty well against Agra decks it just has I don’t know how to say this failed miserably against the modern control decks I have extreme card generation control where it just doesn’t have the card generation it doesn’t have the card value that it used to on a comparative level to the other control decks but this changes all of that you can play controller and run a ton of draw you can play controller and run a ton of wasteful card just give you armor like that other card that was released my last review you know ten armor and reduce the cost of your close minions hand by two it looks really crappy well this is what with that it’s pretty good those are you’re printing a card now I can totally see this deck working and this is the heart of that deck so I think I’m gonna have some fun with that spreading plague pot cost drew spell summon scarabs with toss probably beasts and you basically match how many minions your opponent has over you so if you have what two things your opponent’s four things this summons two of them I think it’s decent value if you summon two obviously not if your opponent has big minions but Jen this is an anti agri card as you can imagine it’s very good if you can you know bust them all with like plus one plus one even that would just be gigantic so is there with you combo that you can pull off with druid to make this really spectacular naturally really spectacular against aggro it just going to get a really flexible card on a high power level like if your opponent has five things we have none you’ve got 25 health worth of taunt you get a +1 +1 to buff on those that’s 5 to 6 tops your opponent might just never get through those might just instantly win the game from that so it really is pretty crazy even effect this is the hero card for mage frost glitch Jaina I think it was leaked a few weeks ago people didn’t think it was real well turns out it’s pretty real 9 cost 5 armored battle cry summon two three six water elemental and your elementals have life steal this game holy crap I also change your hero power that’s your hero power then nuts yes that’s not so if you hit something that your power and it dies you sum the water lentil wire lentils that elemental and it has life steel so I think this card is absolutely insane I think people are not realizing just how good this is so if you have a few elementals employee let’s say you have 10 attack worth of elementals you play this you heal for 10 and you gain 5 onwards you like seal for 15 it’s not a dead turn you know healing for 15 and playing a 3 6 water elemental and having like enormous threats on the board and on the following turn like that’s not small at all this card is crazy now the issue is we see a lot of very powerful control cards with the dead man’s hand with warriors with this it’s just that right now crazy control decks still get pretty countered by like quest mage so while these decks might be really powerful they might just get meted out still so we’ll have to see ice Walker 2 cos 1 3 you’re here power also freezes a target I don’t know how good that’s going to be but this is gonna be really annoying oh my god like in arena and value oriented game mode you play a big minion it gets frozen by this you play another small minion it gets like removed the big meaning its frozen again just being able to constantly stall out a favor abort to the position for board clears it’s just insanely powerful and the card and constructive is going to need a lot of work to try to understand the meta and make it work in that sense but I think in arena clear cut this Hart is going to be just super powerful with other board clears you know we talked about card sanitizing other cards this has super synergy with board clears it’s just ridiculous any board clears and you’ve played mage there’s quite a few to stumble upon meat wagon for cost one for mech death-rattle somewhat a minion from your deck with less attack than this minion so obviously if you don’t bust this card it’s not very good there’s a few exceptions but very few and not really exceptions they’re just kind of okay not too bad but the idea is you play this you give it like a cold blood and suddenly you can get a malygos from your deck and if you can do that unlike turn five well you’re sitting pretty yeah yeah that’s about it this is an extremely dangerous card in specific decks so much so that I think we’d actually maybe see play in adventurous combo deck probably in the tier 2 area very weak arena card though and cronic can guys but I know it’s not I don’t whatever okay the name is what it is six five thirty one of your other minion dies from the – – ghoul and presumably when the ghoul died they summoned more – two ghouls so extremely steamroll e card pretty powerful but just coughed a lot of mana and has no health so it’s difficult to imagine these cards in constructed play but it’s obviously fairly powerful arena card especially in what I imagine would be like a zoo like deck maybe like a temple rogue or maybe like a zoo warlock cobalt scale Bane 5 cost five five dragon in the common slot so another spices story in arena at least we’re going to get a huge bump and we’re just going to see a lot more of this card just being your expansion common slot play arena you’re going to end up facing this the end of your turn give another friendly random minion plus three attack so it’s kind of like five four and eight five it’s not anything more than that because it doesn’t actively buff it but if you can target the buff on specific guys it’s powerful this is a powerful card I don’t know maybe dragon priests maybe the extra dragon will help the old really powerful dragons with the discovers and stuff I don’t know other than that I’m not so sure but it’s very good marina known for a 2/2 cost two three battle crowded with the top card from your opponent’s deck so this might look innocent this is not innocent this is a really powerful card I mean I’m excited to see this effect but I’m also a little terrified that are sewn going this direction I really want to try it I think we’re going to have some amazing moments with cards like these but I just feel like if people like it Blizzard might make like 10 cards like this and then we’ll have another level of RNG to our games what cards is my opponent removed from my deck if I try to play it so but it is really interesting if you think about it if you played a lot of the control decks when you have very key combinations or very key cards that you required actually win the game having even one of those removed to just end it not think about playing against like freeze mage you see an acolyte and you know you can give them like three cards but if it discards one if you can draw three for them by like triple painting and acolyte just to mail one of their cards that’s often worth it it’s often a play you’ll do you’ll see like an tonightís mill their seed Alice draws a mill you actually win the game from that play just because getting rid of a very specific cards completely nullifies your opponent’s chance to win in some cases and depending on the meta that can be in a lot of cases so card like this can be very powerful my only argument against the card like this is that warlock is kind of like a very brutish class especially if you’re playing zoo like minions seems to be like a zoo like minions so if you think about it like you know if you mail a lost rasa when playing a freeze mage you’re still going to lose to the freeze mage because you’re playing the lock against freeze mage same with like an tinnitus you know you might you might not take an extra six or seven or ten damage but you’re still probably going to lose that match the zoo warlock decks generally do pretty badly or completely crush their matchups and that’s especially true for combo and control next so I think if this was like a priest card I would lose my shit but this is a warlock card and it’s actually pretty balanced I’m just a little bit terrified that there’s going to be a lot of cards as mechanic in the future but who knows welke your soul claimer three cost one for when this meaning survives damage survive not take damage survive damage some 1/8 – to Google so a powerful effect you know if you can get one ghoul it’s not bad but if you intentionally damage it yourself that’s not the same as absorbing damage you know so if you play like that one drop that build damage to your own stuff as you play it and damages this it’s kind of like playing a three mana 4 a 1 3 and a 2 2 and maybe a little bit of value after that but it’s pretty unlikely 3 health means typically die off so it’s it’s very unlikely you’re going to get more than one ghoul and if you self inflict that damage to get the one ghoul you’re looking at 3 metaphor 1 3 + 2 – that doesn’t like to break the game or anything I don’t know if there’s a if there’s like a specific use for the ghouls that could totally change that maybe there’s like some ghoul consuming card I mean it’s like the Lich King and shit after all right it could happen I don’t know but as a standalone card I think the power level is quite low stitched tracker 3 cost 2 – battlecry discover a copy of a minion in your deck this is pretty strong as a hunter card you can a fish for the very few other minions you have included in your deck and that might be a really big deal would be I think a bottle bow man that’s death rattle summons a beast random beef and dice game this is not a beast so you could run very few beasts maybe around like one other beast and two of the obama bow man’s and with this card you could actually make that work and line it up so your gigantic beasts get revived throughout the game and i like it i like a combo enabler on a fairly mediocre power level a decent Arena card for a class that’s kind of in the middle I think this is a very well designed card sunborne Valkyr five four five four neutral give a JSON minions plus two health that’s pretty good in arena though over talk about arena because this is obvious not good never consignment but in arena getting a little bit extra health and pushing that tempo is a really big deal this is certainly a valuable card probably in a similar level to dark iron and dwarf it’s just a little bit trickier to set up so if you’re playing a spell have you made your priest deck which often are it’s not going to be as good as like dark iron dwarf but if you’re playing a minion heavy deck probably more of the likes of paladin’s or druids or you know warlock there’s a lot stronger because if you can have two minions trade up at the same time as well as playing an attack oriented static card that is a huge tempo boost to the board so should be interesting and I like the fact that it again encourages people to think in advance or positioning even I’ve screwed up a lot all of us do it’s something that good players will often win more from than in newer players and I appreciate that okay so this is the priests legendary people lost their mind over this card they really did battlecry shuffle a copy of your opponent’s deck into your deck so that’s really insane it’s just that like if your opponent playing an aggro deck this card is like worthless so discard like you know often we talk about a card being good or not based on how the meta happens but there’s usually still some innate worth to the card so you know card like pretty good but it could be really good if the meta kind of makes it work well this card is just total ass if your opponents are all playing agar it’s just horrible unplayable it will lose you the game if you don’t play it it’ll lose you the game if you do play it horrible against control matchups you will go from probably close to a 50/50 to nearly automatically winning so it is one of the most polarizing cards based on the meta that we will see that’s what makes it basically impossible to really analyze but I did have a few other thoughts on the card as a whole I think it’s just overall going to be a really fun card very meme card having a ton of cards in your deck you see like Prince vs. Prince legendary matchups when you play this and you have like nearly 70 cards in your deck or maybe you can bounce this and constantly play it to have even more than that you know just some really crazy moments are going to happen and I love me cards like that the other aspect is I have a feeling that deck trackers are going to make this card a bit unfair and I worried that I really like deck trackers to be honest I think that Blizzard might take a stance on deck trackers because they are actually abusable with this card so think about it you know if you have a deck tracker and the deck tracker can actually track the cards in your deck I don’t know if they can do that but I’m pretty sure they can that could be a problem because if just by playing the game normally you can’t see that well that could be an advantage however that might not be the case it might be one of those cards where you can just hover over the effect on the left and you can see all the cards that went into your deck so it might be pretty fair but I think it’s something that Blizzard should have in mind hopefully it did have it in mind when coding everything embrace darkness another face card spell epic choose an enemy minion at the start of your turn take control of it so it seems like a powerful effect it’s it’s not as good as mine control you might think well it’s like mind control except your opponent injures the card more that’s not true it’s worse than that so if you’re playing this card compared to mind control yes you save for mana but one your opponent is going to injure that minion the best it can that’s a reality so it’s gonna it’s going to be like pre attacked that meaning is also going to kill something that you had in play most likely your opponent’s next turn after you play this is going to be set up in a way where he can kill the minion that you just took from him and also because you play this it does nothing then you take the menu on your next turn it won’t get charged so it will still do nothing it’s basically like a to turn delay on being able to use the minion versus mind controls one turn delay there’s a lot of disadvantages and honestly six-man is a lot kinder than 10 but that is a pretty stacked list of disadvantages against using this card now if we see just like some really hyper control meta that probably won’t matter just playing this just be as good as playing a mind control and maybe you’d want to do that because it’s slightly better in terms of curving up so you know maybe you’ll actually see play but it is a very clunky card and I do not think it’s better than mine control it it’s at best about as good just at the meta might make that a decent case then we have phantom freebooter for cost 3/3 pirate battle cried game stats equal to your weapons so a neutral card obviously unlike arena is pretty difficult to bank on weapons but if you’re playing rogue it’s at worst for for a 4/4 which is okay disadvantage is a pirate because it can get Galaga but that’s not too bad in the end obviously some pretty crazy combos but it’s still a minion that has a silence of effect it’s a pirate and has to wait a turn to attack make you some stats and it’s just stats so it’s not going to not break the game or anything then we have mind breaker 3 cost to 5 hero powers that are disabled man it looked like a custom hearthstone card without ever seen one I like it though it’s a different dynamic it’s a different approach to your game plan playing hearthstone and I have no idea how strong this is going to be I imagine it’s designed to be played against decks that rely on the hero powers that they’re granted from their new death knight hero version of hero cards because you know if you have like a normal hair powder on your phone has a really Opie Opie here to power then this card is really good 3 cost to 5 on curve that’s pretty good so yeah overall that might be all right now we have Crypt Lord 3 cost one-sixth taunt not bad after you summon a minion game plus one health so another one of those cards where it could just be so good if it had a little bit better attack but it’s still not bad three four one six taht is gigantic for that stage in the game it’s another like crazy anti agra card which seems to be the theme for Drude and of this upcoming expansion so far but again we have no clue how well that would fit into the meta all I can say is it’s a fair arena card for the moment hope you guys enjoy my review and that certainly looks like the cards are heating up and looks like we’ll actually have quite a lot of awesome decks awesome moments and
